Hiking in Iztaccíhuatl Volcano
This landscape is simply extraordinary, worthy of a lifetime memory, you will find yourself in the foothills of the Iztaccíhuatl volcano also called "Sleeping Woman" because of the figure that you can see from afar, surrounded by impressive formations and the Popocatepetl volcano at her feet .
We will begin the hike at 4000 masl. You will hike at your own pace, without haste, enjoying a beautiful natural landscape
Itinerary
- 06:00 hrs Departure from meeting point in Mexico City.
- 08:00 hrs Arrive at a little town called Amecameca where we will stop if someone likes to buy something for breakfast.
- 08:15 hrs We will board the transport to get inside the Iztaccíhuatl-Popocatepetl National Park.
- 09:00 hrs The guide will give the directions for the hike and prepare the backpacks.
- 09:15 hrs We will begin our hike with exuberant landscapes that few people have the opportunity to know. We will have time to take pictures.
- 12:00 hrs We will arrive at the place known as the mouth of the shark. Depending on the climatic conditions and the physical condition of the group, it will be evaluated if it can be hike a little more. Time for lunch.
- 14:00 hrs We will hike along the trails to return to transport.
- 16:30 hrs Dinner in Amecameca.
- 19:00 hrs Arrival to Mexico City. This time can change because of weather, physical condition of every participant, traffic in the roads, etc.

Requirements
- This is an activity for healthy people who do exercise frequently. It is not a tour suitable for pregnant women, people with hypertension or heart disease.
- Older than 18 years-old
- Hiking boots or tennis shoes
- Down jacket, gloves and raincoat
- Backpack big enough to carry on box lunch and warm clothing
- Sun hat and sunglasses
